My New 2007 Corvette
Purchased 12-07-06

Bill Branch Chevrolet on Fowler Street in Fort Myers, Florida took my 2001 Corvette convertible on trade for this brand new 2007 Corvette. I really wasn't ready for a new car with only 50,000 miles on my 2001 Corvette but, new car sales manager Clark Walker made me a deal I couldn't refuse. I'd been thinking about a new Corvette since my last oil change and was told "we don't give discounts on Corvettes." When my brakes had problems last week on my old 2001 Corvette and it sat at the Chevrolet dealership for one whole week I decided it may be time to ask for another discount on a brand new Corvette. Bill Heard Chevrolet in Orlando was willing to give me $5,000.00 off on a new Corvette and Clark Walker at Bill Branch Chevrolet stepped up to the plate and did me the same deal. I know Kerbeck Chevrolet in New Jersey is giving $7,500.00 off a brand new Corvette convertible but, they do not take trades from Florida so I decided to take the Bill Branch bargain. Gust Monzon was my sales rep and Clark did the deal on my new red 2007 Corvette.

This is my 14th Corvette and only my second brand new one. Bill Branch sold me my first brand new Corvette in Aril of 2001.

These optional five spoke chrome wheels are very shiny and look good whether rolling down the road or standing still.

The new instrument panel gauges are easier to see than the old C5 Corvette. Don't get me wrong, I loved that C5 Corvette. With the push button radio stations, I just think this C6 is the most refined Corvette ever built.

The new rear lower exhaust panel reminds me of the Ferrari body style most of all. The plexi-glass headlamp covers also came from the new Ferrari design from several years ago.

This shot is one week later with still only 121 miles. Christmas time in the rare coin business is keeping me too busy to even drive her.

This new door opening latch is the best I have ever seen on a new Corvette. It works perfectly and when in the locked position all you have to do is come close the car (with in three feet) and the doors automatically open with out doing anything.

Window sticker price was $65,785.00 dollars which is major money compared to the $12,500.00 I paid for my brand new 1978 Indianapolis Pace Car.

The interior has a lot of new pluses compared to my old 2001 Corvette like the XM Stereo radio  (Now I can listen to Howard Stern again) and the new built in garage door opener.

Nothing better than a brand new Corvette!!!!!

Wednesday, January 3rd I drove to Big Pine Key to see my friend Ira Weisinger who just bought a brand new house.

Downtown Key West is always crazy. Here some guy is in front of Sloppy Joe's dressed as a pirate.
